PMB4 Custom Pencil Skirt

Posted by: K. Elliott Couture on: July 6, 2009

Day #2 of the skirt-a-thon!! LOL I made this skirt from a pattern drafted in PMB4. it was quick and easy, no need to go into PE at all, strictly style choices.

In PMB4 I chose a 6 panel gored skirt, contoured waistband, straight hemline, side zipper. Skirt knee length, with a 2" waistband. Then I flat felled all the seams except the two side seams.

I did however do my normal drop waist by 2", no darts to drop! and this is what i got!

I used a red sateen fabric that i purchase online. I have got to remember what that site was, i am loving their fabrics!!

You can’t get a faster designed pencil skirt than that! I am very happy with the turn out of this garment and it matches my blouse perfectly. If i had only known the batteries in my flash were dyeing it would have been a perfect day!

wow! you look like a super model~ never heard of wild ginger patterns, but I am quite impressed. Great job.

Lovely skirt and you look fabulous.

Another success story with WG! Funny, I spent my July 4th extended weekend making two skirts. I'll post shortly. Great job, you look fierce!

You wearing that red! I really like the skirt..I had thought about getting Wild Ginger. I am gonna have to do a little more research.

THANKS LADIES! Wild Ginger has an awesome forum, some parts are open to the general public some parts are for users only but check it out it's a wonderful software! And i can not say enough great things about their support staff! those girls are top notch excellent!!! and i do not gain any brownie points by saying so!!! lol

Trina, your red skirt is awesome! You look fabulous in it. I scrolled back up to check out your drafting choices…again…because I might just want to try that one, too!
