I have really been very busy lately trying to adjust to working outside the home! and I honestly thought I could continue to sew at the same rate as before, boy was a sadly mistaken!
I am still getting everything all setup in my office space at work so I still don’t have full access to my Internet stuff, like at home and I am really whipped when I come in and spend some time with my family. so I just popped in, really quickly, while listing my Japanese Inspired Launch Item, to say HEY!! to anyone who’s listening!!
All the while I have been really thinking about my sewing mentor, Aunt Tiny who passed away a few months back. I guess she has been on my mind really heavy because she so much enjoyed doing prom gowns and formal wear and I have taken on the daunting task of a prom dress. I have done this to myself before and always vow to not do it again, but I do…1 every prom season, but I declare this is the last time!
I can’t figure out why, but for the life of my I just do not like creating dressy dresses! it’s not the fabric, it’s not the design, it maybe they they all require at least a bit of hand stitching but I haven’t even gotten to that stage yet, so they may not be my exact issue, don’t know, really don’t care…I just want to get past this dress (as awesome as it may be) so that I can get back to my regular type stuff, like boys playground wear and stuff for me! that sounds a bit selfish, sorry!
but anywho, I have been thinking about Aunt Tiny a lot lately and in the mist of listing auctions, I came across this photo from last 4th of July and thought I would share…

I'm very sorry that your Aunt Tiny has left this world. I hope that your memories of her sustain you during the hard times.
