ooh!WEE Custom BoutiqueI just couldn’t help myself! I have put the little fella to bed 4 times tonight, just so I could get some grown woman skirts done, because I am on FIRE today! It’s been a rainy day all day and I just didn’t want to leave the house so I stayed in all day and made up some quick simple skirts, that I am hoping will look great on me!!

I tried most of them on, you know that half way through, try on, to check your fit and everything is coming along so smoothly, that I managed to squeeze two more skirts out tonight!

This one is a TDF print, matte jersey knit. I couldn’t for the life of me cut into it, but finally decided to just go for it. I decided I had enough tight and slinky so I made this one from New Look 6382 and I really like how it turned out! Now I have to start looking around for a top to match. I have about 1 full yard to make a top which could yield that beautiful bottom border again. I may just go back to the fitted tee, if I can get the bottom of the sleeves and hem with this border. I think that would be cute and definitely dazzle up a plain tee.

This skirt is from the pattern that it all started from. My PMB4 fitting garment! it was decided that low ooh!WEE Custom Boutiquewaisted, hip hugger style is the best for my body shape and size! Wow who would have thought that tight was better? I very rarely buy tight close, they just don’t come that small! LOL but when I thought about it, most of my "real" clothes that I wore to work, back in the day, were of this same style or tailored to fit. I tend to wear shorter tighter skirts with a long blazer / coat type jackets! I don’t know that’s just my style. my skirt has to be really long or really short (well grown up short, not hoochie, teenager short) ! But maybe there was something to it, that I just wasn’t paying enough attention too.

So I am going pattern digging tomorrow to see if I have a blazer pattern to my liking and see if I can accomplish that this week.

If push comes to shove I will draft one but if I don’t have to I won’t!! I enjoy drafting but not under time constraints and I have been trying to focus weekend sewing on myself!

So I have completed two more, both just need to be hemmed and then I will move on the tops or jackets or whatever I decide.

I am going to bed for real this time. Maybe have a snack and off I go! I know my husband thinks I have lost all my mind!!

I haven’t baked anything in a few weeks, i think i might try something tomm.

see ya! and….trinablogsig
