yeah for me! I am knocking them down!! I did make some changes to the original patter, after I tried the first one on. I made the arms and hem line of the shirt both longer by about 3 -4 inches each.
I just prefer my shirts longer, but my sleeves MUST reach pass my wrist bone, that is an absolute must. When I purchase RTW, I always seem to have to get a medium and those may be the main reasons, besides the fact that I feel like I can not breathe in a small! I honestly think the small has gotten smaller, maybe a extra small and no one told me!!
This is another one of the knits that I recently purchased, that I brought way way too much, as I am finding that it is super wide, I need to measure to find out exactly but it seems wider than usual. so I will be listing what I have left, very soon so I can purchase more prints!!
I am so addicted to knits!!
This time I did the skirt from a Simplicity pattern 5248, view B the only skirt on the pattern. It’s not a knit pattern but I liked the skirt, so I used it. I did however leave off the bottom flounce and just rolled lettuce hemmed the bottom for a little visual effect.
I may do a full dress of this fabric and then let the rest go. I know me and I am not going to want to use up all the yardage I brought! That would be way too many pieces of the same print!!
I was extremely proud of my lingerie waistband for the skirt. I know the colors don’t quite match, but I love how it turned out and you would know I was about to get rid of all that picot edge elastic I have. I mean it seems like I have rolls and rolls of this stuff, but never in the color I need!!
I was going to try and stitch out some purchased applique designs tonight, but I am a little beat, so maybe I’ll have that to blog about tomorrow.
